52 Weeks in the Word - Week 4
Three weeks have past by quickly! I cannot believe we will see the first day of February in this week's reading! It has been a great start in the Word for the new year. (I said all that in hopes I wouldn't sound like a broken record by saying how exciting and rich this past week's reading was... but, it really was!) This week several of you have joined in with discussions on where you see Christ or the Gospel message in our reading, and it has been so eye-opening! Here are just a few of the ways people mentioned from this week's reading: The Red Sea representing the first indication of water baptism - beginning of a new life and freedom but not at our destination. Sacrificial lamb for the death angel to pass over during the last plague. The blood placed on the door posts, and the Scripture referencing Jesus as the door (John 10:9).
