52 Weeks in the Word - Week 30

Welcome to Week 30!  I don't know about you, but that feels like a huge accomplishment!  I have found it so encouraging and helpful to read through the Bible with you all!

This week we will continue to read in the book of Isaiah.

A few thoughts that were shared from last week's reading:

  • Isaiah 10 proclaims the Remnant Returns.
  • In chapter 11, Isaiah told about the time when animals would live together in peace.
  • In chapter 20, God has away of sometimes making the things in our mind that seem like the only answer or the only way - seem completely foolish or wrong in the end.  This can be a way to teach us a lesson.  An example of this is between Judah and believing they could find protection with Egypt from Assyria.  God wanted them to trust Him!
  • Isaiah 26:3 -
You will keep in perfect peace
        those whose minds are steadfast,
        because they trust in you.
 Looking ahead to Week 30:

The reading for Week 30 includes: Isaiah 32 - 50 (Für unsere deutschen Freunde: Jesaja 32 - 50.)

As I'm sure you've seen in your reading of Isaiah up to this point, there are many prophecies of Jesus throughout the book.  Isaiah 40:31 is a verse I memorized several years ago as a child because that way my school verse from 5th grade through 12th grade.  While, admittingly it reminds me of school instantly, it also is a verse that brings me peace and comfort.  "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Have a wonderful week and feel free to share your thoughts with us as you read.

Blessings
